Data and BI Analyst - Hotel

Our client is a well-renowned hotel group looking for a talented Data and BI Analyst to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term basis, based remotely anywhere from the UK with travel to the Midlands required once a month for a team meeting.

This job would suit someone with at least 2 years' experience as a Data or BI analyst with knowledge of the hotel or hospitality industry. You'll play a crucial role in building 30+ crucial reports for the Group that will assist in understanding and decision making in all areas of the hotel business.

The successful individual will come from a Hotel or Hospitality industry background and be an experienced data analyst with strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify key insights from complex data sets. You must have excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. Proficiency in SQL querying languages for data extraction and manipulation with previous experience of working with internal stakeholders to deliver reports in line with business needs is essential. You must have advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, and data visualization techniques. Any understanding of revenue management would be advantageous.

Duties will include:

  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, including Opera Version 5, Infor Vision Q&A, Opera Cloud, and Oracle R&A
  • Develop and automate daily pickup reports to streamline data analysis and reporting processes
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for revenue optimization
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to create insightful dashboards, reports, and visualizations for effective communication
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in hospitality data analytics
