Internal Sales Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Internal Sales Manager to lead and motivate an Internal Sales Team. This role reports directly into the Sales Director and requires someone who is a keen collaborator, cohesive in approach and has line management experience supporting and motivating a team to achieve the overall sales targets and delivery of excellent customer service. This role involves close collaboration with the external sales team to drive the sales strategy and contribute to the overall success of the sales team. Read on if this sounds like the role for you.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Manage and distribute workload within the Internal Sales Team, providing feedback and guidance.
  • Set clear targets and lead the team to meet or exceed these goals.
  • Support the Sales Director in developing a sales management strategy to achieve sales targets.
  • Be accountable for targets, costs, profitability, and margins, and report on results.
  • Assist with the day-to-day people management of the external sales team.
  • Foster effective communication and coordination between internal and external sales teams.
  • Oversee the training, development, and performance of the sales team.
  • Manage purchasing from third-party suppliers
  • Focus on developing the new online spares shop and manage the sales of spare parts.
  • Handle sales administration, including developing price lists and monthly activity reports.
  • Ensure compliance with local incoterms and regulations in order processing.
  • Maintain up-to-date ISO procedures and keep the team informed.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to the sales management process.
  • Use customer feedback to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to marketing plans and promotional campaigns.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve sales processes and customer experience.
  • Promote a positive team culture that encourages collaboration, growth, and success.
  • Uphold quality and health & safety standards in the working environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales management and team leadership.
  • Ability to set and achieve sales targets.
  • Strong communication and motivational skills.
  • Experience in formulating and implementing sales strategies.
  • Knowledge of purchasing, order processing, and compliance with regulations.
  • Familiarity with ISO procedures and quality management.
  • Competence in sales administration and reporting.
  • Ability to manage online sales platforms and digital marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and health & safety.
  • Essential experience of working in HVAC or a manufacturing business
