We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant SEN school in Halton, starting this September. This role offers an incredible opportunity to contribute to a supportive and inclusive educational environment, helping students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities.
- Create a positive and nurturing classroom environment that promotes student well-being and academic growth.
- Work closely with other staff members, parents, and external agencies to ensure a comprehensive approach to student development.
- Monitor and report on student progress, implementing strategies to address any challenges.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within an SEN setting.
- A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable but not essential).
To be considered for this position you will:
- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
-Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work)
-have satisfactory references
-have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
