An exciting opportunity has arisen at an FE College with an excellent reputation in the Oxfordshire area for a permanent, full-time Plumbing Lecturer to teach 16-18 year olds in Level 2 and 3 plumbing.
You will be working in purpose built teaching spaces be that workshops or classrooms which are professional environments and working alongside our experienced team of trainers who cover plumbing, electrical installation and testing and both Site Carpentry and Joinery and Bench Joinery. If you have not taught or demonstrated practical skills before, then do not worry - no teaching qualifications are necessary!
Whilst teaching experience and qualifications are preferable, the college are also open to considering motivated individuals from the plumbing industry who are passionate about passing on their trade knowledge in an education environment, as the college are happy to provide full training and put successful candidates through their L3 teaching certificate.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and informative sessions to students.
- Share your industry expertise and practical skills.
- Foster a positive learning environment conducive to student success.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 qualification in Plumbing or higher
- Willingness to obtain an ENHANCED DBS check
- Passion for teaching and passing on knowledge.
- Occupational competence and relevant skill set.
- Willingness to pursue a teaching or assessing qualification within 2 years (support provided)
