Accounts Assistant

Our client manufactures and installs equipment for the farming industry. They have been trading for 40+ years and need someone to come in and take on general accounting duties as the owners pull back on their hours' overtime. It will be your own little domain where over time you will be compensated accordingly.
Duties:
- Responsible for the Sales ledger, nominal ledger, bank reconciliations, petty cash, and processing and banking cheques.
- Generating all invoices and refunds for both private clients and contracts with local authorities.
- Proficiency in Sage system, Online Banking would be welcome.
- You will be dealing with clients over the telephone and email, and post so it's important you can juggle that and really invest in maintaining good relationships with both clients and suppliers.
- Credit Control and debt chasing in the first instance by letter, following up on the telephone if necessary.
- Processed the direct debits and dealt with the queries.
- Deal with payments over the telephone and process them accordingly.
This list isn't exclusive to duties detailed above. As you progress it is expected that you will take on more and more responsibilities.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm
