£45,000 per annum + Hybrid Working + Flexi Time + Early Finish Fridays

Due to continued growth and the securing of new contracts, my client is looking to hire an Electrical Design Engineer to join their highly skilled team. This is a brand new, exciting position where you will play a fundamental role in the design and manufacture of bespoke, high value control and drive systems for Defence and Aviation customers across the UK and Worldwide.
The successful candidate will be responsible preparing the electrical drawings of the control and drive systems, alongside the development, testing and verification of PLC controller programmes.

The Candidate:
- Proficient in Solidworks, AutoCAD or similar
- Able to read electrical / mechanical engineering drawings
- Has working knowledge of Motion Control, PLC's and HMI's
- Holds a relevant electrical engineering qualification
- Lives a commutable distance from Failsworth
The Role:
- Working on an exciting mixture of civil and military projects for defence / aviation customers
- Undertake the conceptual development of electrical control and drive systems
- Produce electrical schematic diagrams, equipment layouts, BOM and cables schedules
- Develop, install and test PLC controller programs
- Great work life balance via short working week, flexi-time, hybrid working and early finish Fridays
