Job Overview
This is excellent role with the opportunity to become a multi-modal operator dealing with worldwide events. Any experience of live events would be very advantageous. but this could also be a chance for someone with general' freight forwarding ops' knowledge and a huge passion for music/live events, either in imports or exports who is looking to move into the exciting world of event logistics. Further training would be given wherever needed,
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for quotes, both airfreight and ocean freight, imports and exports, including cross trade shipments.
- Preparing and processing export documentation including MAWB, HAWB and security documents.
- Import and export customs clearances under ATA carnet, temporary imports and exports.
- On occasion, attending site to monitor unload/load of ocean containers/trucks for events.
- Managing post flights, ensuring cargo arrives as booked.
- Daily billing on import and export files.
- Liaising with key clients daily and managing their expectations.
Essential & desirable skills, qualifications, and experience
- At least 5 years' experience working in freight forwarding operations.
- Customs knowledge essential •Multi model experience highly - desirable
- Ability to work independently and successfully prioritise a busy workload.
- Five-year work history required with no employment gaps.
- Clear DBS required.
- Experience using Boxtop and salesforce - desirable.
Hours are Monday to Friday with a weekend cover rota.
