Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: £24,000 - £29,000 (dependent on experience)

We are recruiting for a Water Technician on behalf of our client, offering an exciting opportunity to play a key part in ensuring water hygiene and safety across a large site in Corsham. About the Role

As a Water Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining water systems in line with ACOP L8 and HSG274 guidelines, ensuring all water hygiene and Legionella management tasks are completed to the highest standards. You will work closely with the in-house Estates Team, completing monitoring, maintenance, and documentation while assisting with third-party contractor activities.

This role is perfect for someone with experience in water hygiene and maintenance, but we also offer in-house and external training to support your career growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform weekly flushing of infrequently used outlets and temperature monitoring.
  • Inspect cold water tanks and work with third-party contractors to carry out remedial work.
  • Complete weekly, monthly, and quarterly planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks, including shower head replacements and strainer cleaning.
  • Assist with cleaning, disinfection, and servicing of cold-water storage tanks.
  • Identify and address issues with thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs) and taps, supporting repairs where necessary.

What We're Looking For:

  • Passion for water safety, compliance, and maintaining estates in line with ACOP L8 and HSG274.
  • Previous experience in water treatment, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Technically minded, with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, while also being self-motivated when working independently.
