The Role:
An innovative, multi-disciplinary vocational centre located in Tooting, looking for full-time Teaching Assistants to support ages 16 and over
As a specialist provider, they believe there is no limit to learning, and they provide a stimulating and nurturing environment from where pupils gain academic and social skills and are valued members of the community. They aim to provide lifelong skills for young adults with learning difficulties that promote active inclusion at home, at work and in the community.
It's a very active and fast paced role, so they are looking for really passionate, motivated and enthusiastic SEN TAs who have a can-do attitude and will go above and beyond for the learners. Experience is by no means required, so this is a great opportunity if you're looking to kick start a career in special education or just develop your existing skills further.
The ideal Teaching Assistant should:
- Has an adult and child DBS on the update service
- Have experience working with young adults with Autism and speech and language difficulties
- Has MLD experience
- Be flexible, proactive and patient
- Be able to communicate effectively within a team
- Be resilient, passionate and driven to go above and beyond for learners of all needs
- Have a Background in Education, Care or Psychology as these are very transferable.
