CMA is excited to be exclusively partnering with a growing manufacturing organisation based on the outskirts of Southampton, based at their UK offices in new offices with idyllic views over The Solent water. Our client services industries such as aerospace, aviation, medical and defence sectors among others. As they strive to become a listed company within the next 18 months, we are looking for a talented and driven individual to join their team as a Finance Analyst.

The Finance Analyst will play a crucial role in driving value across the business through in-depth financial analysis, business/scenario modelling, and forecasting. Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, you will be instrumental in preparing monthly Management Operation Reporting data, conducting detailed financial analysis, and working closely with various business teams to present findings that will support strategic and commercial decisions.

What will the Finance Analyst role involve?

  • Prepare and forecast costs and CAPEX streams for monthly MOR data;
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis across various revenue streams and associated costs;
  • Present analytical findings to enable strategic decisions that enhance revenue, control costs, improve margins, and create shareholder value;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand non-financial KPIs driving financial performance;
  • Participate in budget setting, reforecasting cycles, and monitoring with budget holders.
  • Design and improve processes across business streams for better communication and efficiency.
  • Assist the Senior Director of Finance with ad hoc projects and business planning scenarios.

Suitable Candidate for the Finance Analyst vacancy:

  • Strong analytical skills with a background in financial due diligence/commercially focused financial analysis;
  • Excellent commercial business acumen and ability to understand key business drivers;
  • Proficiency in variance analysis and meticulous attention to detail;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of meeting tight deadlines;
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with SAP (or similar ERP);
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Flexibility, resourcefulness, and the ability to adapt to changing business needs.
