Churchill Howard is working in partnership with a commercial organisation based in Birmingham, seeking to recruit an outstanding Financial Reporting Manager to form a key part of their finance team. The individual must be technically strong, have the ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels, and be capable of managing a team. The role:
- Responsible for preparing and submitting monthly financial reports for the UK&I business.
- Oversee the management of fixed assets and ensure compliance with IFRS.
- Assist in creating consolidated (P&L) and balance sheet budgets and forecasts.
- Co-ordinate intercompany transactions and communication among various stakeholders
within the group.
- Engage with key stakeholders as needed to provide financial updates and insights.
- Continuously review existing processes to enhance efficiency.
- Analyse and interpret large datasets from diverse sources, adapting to different formats.
- Manage part-qualified accountants, particularly in balance sheet reporting.
- Act as a primary liaison between the business and external auditors.
- Prepare specialised reports and analysis for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Keep up to date on international accounting standards (IAS) to ensure accurate financial reporting across key statements.
The individual:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- High numeric and analytical skills
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Proficient in Excel and experience of working with a consolidation system
- Positive attitude towards colleagues
- Strong communication skills, extremely diligent and self-motivated in nature
