An opportunity has emerged for a knowledgeable Senior Credit Manager with a specialisation in the Oil and Gas sector. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team, tasked with managing and providing analytical support for the Bank's activities in its Global Market Commodities business area. This role is crucial in executing the Bank's credit procedures and policies, including approval of credit limits, and managing a portfolio of structured financing credit risks.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Credit Manager, your primary responsibility will be the Bank's energy-related counterparty portfolio, encompassing both financing and derivatives products. You will manage the risk profile of a commodities-related counterparty credit portfolio, conducting comprehensive risk assessments for new or increased facilities. Your capacity to define credit appetite and provide guidance on deal structures will be essential. Furthermore, you will ensure that post-approval implementation of facilities and legal documentation aligns with the conditions of sanction.

  • Assess and approve credit applications.
  • Develop and evaluate credit proposals.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative financial analysis.
  • Offer support to senior Credit management.
  • Prepare and present applications to Credit Committee.
  • Oversee post-approval implementation of facilities.
  • Address non-compliance with terms and conditions of sanction.
  • Engage in ad-hoc projects and portfolio reviews.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Senior Credit Manager role will bring extensive experience in drafting credit applications and analysing transactions within the credit risk department of a Financial Institution. You will possess a solid understanding of accounting principles, enabling you to effectively analyse the financial strengths and weaknesses of clients. Your knowledge of lending and derivative products related to the Energy sector will be invaluable, as well as your ability to comprehend structured deals.
