BMC Recruitment is delighted to be working with a law firm in Newcastle to assist them in their recruitment for a legal secretary to join them on a permanent basis.

Background

This role is perfect for someone who has existing legal secretary, personal assistant or administration experience and is looking for a new challenge. The role is offers hybrid working ( 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home).

Duties & Responsibilities

The role will encompass providing support to solicitors and includes:

  • Sorting incoming post
  • Contacting client to progress matters where possible without giving legal advice
  • Making and diarising appoints including making room bookings
  • Ensuring that files are being kept up to date and are easily accessible.
  • Preparation of document bundles
  • Typing/ Word processing to support the fee earners

Person specification

  • Fast and accurate typist
  • Previous secretarial or administration experience
  • Experience of working in a legal environment would be desirable but is not essential
