About the role
We have a unique opportunity to work as part of our Commercial Finance team, balancing both financial accounting and business partnering to our trading teams in Booker Group.
The nature of the role allows you to ‘have a voice' and have independence and equally be at home with managing potential conflict as a result.
The role would require the successful candidate to work 3 days per week in either of our offices in Watford, Wellingborough, Eccles or High Wycombe.
Role Responsibility
Influence Category Managers to ensure understanding of margin and central income
Be the financial expert for the Category team.
Undertake analysis of the major drivers of category growth e.g. pricing, promotions etc.
Identify future Risk & Opportunity
You will need
Strong business partnering skills as you will be working closely with the trading teams
Progression in your career to date and a desire to learn
A commercial mindset with experience in budgeting and forecasting
A natural aptitude towards finance and numerical data with some Management Account experience
A desire to broaden your skills by rotating roles in different areas.
The ability to influence across a wide range of internal functions
Tenacity and be motivated to deliver
