Assistant Accountant (6-Month FTC)

37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
About the Role:
Môrwell Talent Solutions are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to support one of our clients on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. If you enjoy troubleshooting, getting into the details of purchase and sales ledgers, and are excited about the opportunity to improve systems and processes, this role is for you!
You will be onsite in Swansea, so the ideal candidate is either available immediately or can start on short notice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interrogating and resolving issues on the purchase and sales ledgers
- Identifying and implementing improvements to systems and processes
- Supporting the finance team with accurate and timely reporting
- Using your strong Excel skills to analyse data and streamline processes
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant
- Ideally AAT qualified or Qualified by Experience
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, with a track record of solving complex ledger issues
- Intermediate Excel skills are highly advantageous
- Ability to work onsite in Swansea
- Available to start ASAP or with a short notice period
- Previous exposure of Pegasus Opera would be highly desirable
