Quality Manager

As Quality Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of quality and food safety in the factory, mainly ensuring strict compliance with the standards for Food Safety, the Quality Management System and meeting BRC, legal, and customer requirements.

Client Details

Our FMCG client are currently looking to hire a Quality Manager for their site in Northamptonshire. This role will suit those who enjoy working as part of a team in a factory facing role.

The Working Hours will be 35 Hours Per week. Monday to Friday, Standard Office Hours 9am to 5pm. This role is site based and does not offer hybrid working.

Description

Roles and Responsibilities to include:

  • Responsible for the day to day management of the quality and food safety within the factory, ensuring strict compliance to the Company Standards.
  • Driving results & performance to achieve the Quality & Food Safety Strategy.
  • Building and sustaining a proactive Food Safety Culture that monitors and shares best practice.
  • Driving quality improvement by effective Root Cause Analysis and corrective actions, reviewing trend data, leading projects, and Food Safety Initiatives
  • Deputising for the Technical Manager as require
  • Jointly Lead factory audits (BRC and Retailer) and managing internal audit programme,
  • Responding to non-conformances with effective corrective actions and close out
  • Quality Owner for capital projects in factory, and leading minor capital projects.
  • Managing food safety incidents, Including stock holds, collating timeline, recommendation for decision, and facilitation of Root Cause Analysis and corrective action.
  • Managing factory hygiene through inspection, collaboration with Cleaning & Pest Contractor's, planning shutdown clean and corrective action.
  • Management of complaint investigations, including trending, RCA and corrective actions
  • Coaching teams on quality and food safety standards to ensure procedures are fully understood and implemented accurately in line with company procedures and systems.
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining new procedures with key stakeholders.
  • Managing equipment calibration.

Profile

Applicants should possess:

  • Previous experience of Quality Management within FMCG manufacturing environment.
  • Technical and quality background with experience in food safety and compliance.
  • Good working knowledge of HACCP, BRC, Auditing, Microbiology, Allergen and Pest Management.
  • Proven experience of driving quality and continuous improvement.
  • Computer Literate with good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Highly organised with drive and initiative.
