Special Needs Support needed for a welcoming and growing school in Hailsham.

A large percentage of children within this setting have Social, Emotional, Mental Health and as a result have difficulty communicating how their feeling, or expressing this, so may need certain adaptations to help them flourish.

About the role
- Being responsible for 6-8 children in a class; understanding their interests and needs to help them develop
- Conducting activities to promote development and engagement
- Be intuative with children - a strong understanding of deescalation is neccessary
- Supporting Children with a range of needs; ADHD, Pathological Demand Avoidance, Speech and Language challenges etc.
- Monday to Friday, 8.15am - 3.30pm
About you
- QTS, or unqulified + with experience is considered
- Experience teaching children with varying SEND/SEMH needs; or a passion to go into the field
- Compassionate and pro-active
- Intuitive and sensitive to children and their needs
- Versatile and able to work on your feet - schools can be fast paced and no day is the same
