Registered Children's Manager - Learning Disabilities Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Children's Manager to oversee the care and well-being of children in a fantastic small LD facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of children's care, care plans, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. We are looking for someone who is fun, friendly, forward-thinking, firm, and fully capable of completing the fundamental tasks of this role.
The home is currently rated as 'Good' and we are seeking a leader who can take it to 'Outstanding'.
Role development will apply as further services are brought on board, offering great progression options for the right candidate.
Duties:
- Develop and implement care plans for children under your supervision.
- Supervise a team of caregivers to provide quality care to children.
- Oversee daily activities and innovate to improve activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.
- Collaborate with senior care staff to address any behavioural concerns.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff members to promote a positive work culture.
- Maintain accurate records of children's health status and progress.
- Coordinate with families and healthcare providers to ensure holistic care for each child.
- The role will develop as a second home opens.
Qualifications:
- Valid experience in Children's residential services.
- Proven experience in managing children's care in assisted living or home care settings.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with children, families, and staff members.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, handle multiple responsibilities, and make critical decisions.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine passion for working with children.
