The role of the Infrastructure Engineer will have expertise in supporting and delivering projects, installing new equipment & system migrations. Here you will bring technical knowledge and a proven track record of successful in the infrastructure delivery for on-premise environments.
Duties & Responsibilities for this Infrastructure Engineer position :
- Ensuring internal and external network security.
- Installation and Management on Virtual and Physical Server Build.
- Backup, DR and BCP Implementation and Testing.
- Providing desktop support during holidays and sick leave.
- Monitoring infrastructure and resolving faults.
- Monitoring networked systems.
- Providing third-line support.
- Traveling to satellite offices and working after hours when necessary.
To be successful in this Infrastructure Engineer position:
- Ideally having skills in Windows Server 2008-2019 and client operating systems (7/8/10/11)
- Microsoft Exchange on-premises.
- VPN technologies.
- Experience in MS Active Directory management and maintenance.
- Virtualization with VMware/Hyper-V
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong cognitive abilities, particularly in understanding, documenting, and explaining complex technical subjects.
- Providing third-line support for infrastructure service incidents.
- Desirable skills in:
- Knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls (Layer 3 switches, VLANs)
- HPE Nimble Storage.
- Experience with HPE ProLiant server hardware.
- Cisco Meraki networking.
- Understanding of VOIP and SIP systems.
- Preferred professional vendor-level certifications: MCP, MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, MCTS, CCNA.
