Role: Transformation Project Officer
Duration: Two Years Fixed Term
Location: Rugby - 2 days per week in the office
Industry Experience: Previous experience in Local or Central Government is highly desirable for this role alternatively candidates must have experience in a transferable industry
Duties of the Finance Project Officer:
- Lead the implementation of a range of transformation projects, playing a vital role in delivery of the transformation programme
- Co-ordinate the simultaneous delivery of a number of transformation initiatives as directed by the Corporate Assurance Manager & Transformation Lead
- Lead and facilitate the interventions necessary to improve services
- Co-ordinate transformation work across departments, working effectively with officers to ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget and that the expected benefits are realised
- Support the Corporate Assurance Manager & Transformation Lead in the production of project highlight and update reports for the Programme Board
- Ensure that digital project records are properly managed and maintained
- Develop and manage project risk registers, coordinating with members of each project team/ squad to ensure that risks are effectively managed
- Support the front line staff, team managers and leaders to understand and apply the thinking required to successfully transform delivery of services
- Identify through being a critical friend and through the use of performance indicators and business intelligence, service delivery improvements that achieve the most effective ways of delivering services within the framework of the Corporate Strategy
- Challenge existing practices ensuring the delivery of effective and efficient services that are always customer focused
- Seeks out and communicates innovative methods of improving service delivery
- Work with IT and Digital Services to support the technology elements of transformation change
- Work alongside other services as necessary to support the drive for Business Transformation
