Interim Reward Advisor

Our Client:

We are excited to be working with an outstanding organisation in the North East who pride themselves on inspiring their people both professionally and personally.

Our client is looking for an experienced Reward Advisor to cover maternity leave for a period of roughly 12 months. The role is varied and will include project work.

The Role:

  • Plan, organise and support annual pay and promotion processes including attendance at various business meetings and formal committees.
  • Review and look for ways to improve systems and procedures that are relevant to your area of work in line with frameworks and regulations.
  • Provide specialist advice and guidance relating to your professional area of expertise, in line with policies, regulations and values.
  • Manage the delivery of pay, reward and recognition arrangements including advice on pay and grading, annual pay reviews, benefits and recognition schemes.
  • Provide the best possible service by continually reviewing what is required from staff and others who you work with and contribute to ideas and service improvements.
  • Provide specialist knowledge and support when interpreting and analysing complex data and information sources including salary benchmarking and pay data.
  • Look for ways to improve the processes and procedures.
  • Identify any learning needs that should be met by the Reward Team and design activities.
  • Maintain an awareness of current policy, employment law and best practice, and its relevance to the organisation.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A professional practitioner with knowledge and expertise as a reward specialist (or another role such as a HR Advisor involved in reward work) involved in the delivery and development of processes, events and activities relating to pay, reward and recognition.
  • Experience of implementing policies and procedures and supporting change and service improvements.
  • Experience of providing specialist advice and guidance on pay and reward issues to a range of customers and colleagues, including more senior colleagues.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills including the ability to develop effective working relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Strong digital competence across a range digital devices and apps including Microsoft 365 applications (with strong excel skills) and HR/Payroll systems and reporting tools.
  • Ability to problem solve.
