We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a supportive and friendly secondary school. Starting from September 2024, you will play a pivotal role in inspiring young minds and nurturing their curiosity in the field of science.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Teach science across Key Stage 3 and 4, adhering to the national curriculum and preparing students for their GCSE exams.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and informative lessons that stimulate students' interest in science.
  • Mark work, assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Report on student progress and contribute to parent evenings and departmental meetings.
  • Develop and enhance the science curriculum within the department.
  • Participate in and contribute to the school's CPD programmes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A relevant teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
  • A degree in science or a related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching science in a secondary school environment.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
