We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a supportive and friendly secondary school. Starting from September 2024, you will play a pivotal role in inspiring young minds and nurturing their curiosity in the field of science.
Day to Day of the role:
- Teach science across Key Stage 3 and 4, adhering to the national curriculum and preparing students for their GCSE exams.
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and informative lessons that stimulate students' interest in science.
- Mark work, assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback.
- Report on student progress and contribute to parent evenings and departmental meetings.
- Develop and enhance the science curriculum within the department.
- Participate in and contribute to the school's CPD programmes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A relevant teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
- A degree in science or a related subject.
- Proven experience teaching science in a secondary school environment.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
