Credit Controller/Accounts Assistant
- Job Type: Temporary (25 hours/week over 4 days)
- Location: 100% office base, Peterborough
- Salary: £15 per hour plus holiday
We are seeking a temporary Credit Controller to cover a period of sickness. The role involves managing customer communications through calls, emails, and letters/statements, processing payments, and handling banking responsibilities for the branch. This includes counting cash, verifying previous day's banking, and preparing cash for collection by courier services.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, and letters/statements to manage their accounts.
- Take payments over the phone and in person, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform banking tasks for the branch, including counting cash and verifying the previous day's transactions.
- Prepare cash for collection by the courier service, adhering to security and procedural guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and customer interactions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a credit control or similar financial role.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient in handling and counting cash accurately.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with banking procedures and cash handling security measures.
