DEI Manager- Staff Networks - London Fire Brigade

We are looking for a DEI Manager: Staff Networks to join our People Services team within the People Directorate. This role is pivotal in contributing to the design and delivery of staff network activities and the Elevation strand of our DEI Strategy (2024-2027), which aims to foster cultural change and build staff capability in DEI across the London Fire Brigade.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Co-design and deliver customised training programmes and interventions that address the specific DEI needs of staff.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create engaging DEI content and coordinate educational events.
  • Manage the procurement and relationships with suppliers in the DEI field.
  • Conduct DEI-related research and utilise findings to develop initiatives.
  • Engage with a wide range of stakeholders to provide DEI advice and support.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships to share best practices and ensure compliance with equality legislation.
  • Programme manage the Elevation strand of the DEI strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in designing, delivering, and facilitating staff events and interventions.
  • Proven ability to research and develop educational content to improve workforce performance.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for drafting reports and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and the ability to manage complex projects.
  • Understanding of the Equality Act 2010 and Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED).
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development or equivalent is desirable.
