Venn Group are partnering with a multi-site Care Group, who are looking to a hire a new Commercial Finance Analyst for their team.

Role: Commercial Finance Analyst
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 pa
Location: North London
Hybrid: 2 days from home

JOB OVERVIEW

The principal responsibility of the Commercial Finance Analyst is to provide support to the growth aspirations of the business through financial analysis and commercial insight. The role will report into the Commercial Finance Manager and will work closely with the CFO and other senior members of the business. The role will have broad internal and external stakeholder relationships.

Key to the role is tenacity, strong attention to detail and an inquisitive mindset. Self-starting and a completer you will have strong communication skills and be comfortable delivering to deadlines. As well as a highly analytical problem solver, you will be comfortable taking ownership of key deliverables and completing them to a high standard. You will have a passion for developing new ways of working and using technology to enhance working processes and relevant information to the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Business

  • Support the growth of the business alongside the Commercial Finance Manager through all areas of commercial finance involvement
  • Work closely with the CFO, Commercial Finance Manager, and the Commercial and Operations teams to optimise fee pricing and funding negotiations
  • Maintain and support with the business's long term forecasting model
  • Develop and deliver accurate and timely reporting and analysis
  • Work with the Head of Estates and Chief Operating Officer to forecast and track capex spend

Key projects

  • Take a leading role in the Business's organic growth strategy, working closing with the Commercial and Property teams
  • Support the M&A workstream of the business, helping to assess potential opportunities and support with any due diligence and analysis requirements for decision makers
  • Alongside the IT director and team and the Commercial Finance Manager, be an early contributor and developer of the business's key Data warehouse and reporting workstream
  • Process and systems improvement across the finance team and wider business. This may include using excel and other systems to:

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Strong communication skills
  • High energy, high integrity, hands on where required and can-do mind-set.
  • Capable of identifying problems with the passion and ability to resolve.
  • Advanced Excel skills including financial modelling
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively with business customers, the Heads of Departments, and other teams.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • (Preferable) Experience in Power BI or similar desired but not essential
  • (Preferable) Finance qualification (with a recognised accounting body) or QBE
