The role

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our client's expanding business.
You will oversee day-to-day warehouse operations and to drive efficiency and output.
Responsibilities include managing inbound and outbound inventory, as well as coordinating and allocating resources for daily tasks.
Responsible for managing all warehouse functions - including loading, unloading, despatch, and storage.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence a team and build successful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure all Health and Safety ,Legal and other requirements are adhered to.
Responsible for monitoring team performance, and compliance against the set warehouse KPIs.
Achieve and deliver service levels, looking to exceed customer expectations.
Prevent, investigate, and report incidents and accidents in a timely manner according to the Company Health and Safety policy.
Accurate record keeping, timely investigation and appropriate handling to avoid stock discrepancies, losses, and damage.
Coordinate and utilise resources to meet the demands of the business.
Responsible for the Warehouse Management System, ensuring all key metrics are effectively set, implemented, and managed within an agreed KPI framework.
Accountable for induction, training, and development for all staff, maintaining effective interaction with HR department, with a view to supporting site succession plans.

Ideal candidate

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities.
Extensive warehouse management experience with a good understanding of distribution, logistics and inventory management.
Deep knowledge of E-Commerce fulfilment operations and the key strategic priorities for online retailers.
Self-motivated and results driven with a proven track record of delivery and a comprehensive understanding of warehousing management systems.
A creative problem solver with excellent organisational skills.
Understanding of

Working knowledge of continuous improvement programs with improved results in productivity, process, service enhancements, innovation, and cost reduction
Strong planning, scheduling, and coordination skills particularly in a high-volume warehouse environment with a fast turnaround and large fleet operation.
Understanding of current health & safety and legal compliance regulations applicable to transport & logistics.
Maintain and develop successful relationships at all levels including senior management, colleagues, customers, and clients.
The ability to autonomously manage and prioritise your own workload in order to ensure accuracy and attention to detail whilst delivering against core KPI's.
