Description

  • Compile and analyse financial information to prepare financial statements and reports.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts to include departmental profit and loss statements and balance sheet.
  • Review and completion of month end processes, in line with management timetable, including monthly accruals, prepayments, depreciation and all other month end adjustments as required.
  • Assisting preparation of annual budgets and any re-forecasting as required.
  • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts and report variances.
  • Assist central finance function with monthly inter-company reconciliations to ensure all group balances are correct.
  • Assist in the development of financial strategies and plans.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Completion of ad-hoc project work and financial analysis on performance, including production of monthly KPI report.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimise service quality and efficiency.

Profile

A successful Management Accountant will be

  • Part Qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to interface with management and other team members.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure.
