Job Title: Prosecutions Lawyer
Location: South East England
Duration: 3 months +
Working Pattern: Full Time and open to Part Time options
Working Arrangements: 1 day per week in the Office Preferred but open to Fully Remote Working Arrangements
Rate: Up to £60 per hour (dependant upon experience)
Venn Group's specialist public sector legal team are in collaboration with a dynamic local authority based in the South East of England to recruit a Prosecutions Lawer into their team on an interim basis
The role of Prosecutions Lawyer is offered on a 3 month basis and is a great chance for an ambitious person to join an outstanding local authority
The ideal candidate for this role will be a Qualified Barrister, Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a proven tack record of at least 3 years of experience within the public sector handling Criminal Prosecutions
Duties Shall Include:
- Complex Fraud Cases: Handle and prosecute complex fraud cases, employing in-depth legal expertise and strategic planning to manage intricate details and achieve favourable outcomes
- Consumer Complaint Prosecutions: Conduct prosecutions related to consumer complaints, ensuring compliance with consumer protection laws and providing effective legal representation
- Planning and Environmental Enforcement Prosecutions: Manage prosecutions and enforcement actions related to planning and environmental regulations, working to uphold statutory requirements and environmental standards
- Confiscation Proceedings: Manage and conduct confiscation proceedings, ensuring adherence to relevant legal frameworks
- Highways Enforcement Notices and Prosecutions: Oversee and prosecute cases involving highways enforcement notices, ensuring adherence to legal protocols and effective resolution of issues
