Reed in Colchester are delighted to be supporting our client seeking a new New Product Development (NPD) Coordinator to join their team in Colchester. This role is pivotal in driving forward innovative product development and requires a blend of technical knowledge and coordination skills to support customer-driven initiatives.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead the coordination of NPD projects, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between internal teams and customers.
  • Manage the delivery of NPD projects efficiently, setting plans according to standard lead times and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Proactively identify potential delivery issues, collaborate with relevant parties, and develop solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Process item creation for new coloured cap requests and liaise with Technical to ensure compliance before proceeding.
  • Coordinate regulatory documentation for food customers and maintain the critical path.
  • Host customer print trials/press passes and provide key target dates to meet production schedules.
  • Handle customer sample requests with a high level of service and accuracy, including raising, processing, shipping, and ensuring invoicing is completed.
  • Update the NPD gateway tracker and check pricing in SAP prior to customer PO processing.
  • Ensure artwork development costs are correct according to the log before instructing invoicing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective teamwork.
  • Resilience and composure when working with clients.
  • Deadline-oriented with the ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • At least 3 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data interpretation.
