We are seeking passionate individuals to join our team as High-Level Teaching Assistants at a primary school in Ripon. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom teachers in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons, using creative and interactive teaching methods to inspire and engage students.
  • Lead small group interventions and support individual students with their learning, providing targeted assistance to address specific needs and challenges.
  • Assist in the assessment of student progress and attainment, providing feedback to teachers and adapting support strategies as necessary.
  • Establish positive relationships with students, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and respected.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and other professionals, contributing to the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and integrity in all interactions, adhering to school policies and procedures and maintaining confidentiality as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs/ECTs) are welcome to apply.
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students through creative and interactive teaching methods.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance on the update service, or willingness to apply for one, is essential.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
