Part Time Recruitment Specialist - 25 hours per week

We are a well established and successful international engineering and manufacturing company. Due to our continued growth and development as an organisation, we now require a dedicated Part Time Recruitment Specialist to join our existing team of 7 within HR to focus on a range of recruitment activity across the business and working alongside another full time Recruitment Specialist. You will be supporting recruitment in the UK and Overseas in a range of departments. We can offer a 25 hour working week with a FTE salary of c£37k equivalent to c£25k for working the 25 hours per week. We also have an attractive benefits package including contributory pension, holiday purchase scheme, sickness insurance, a generous holiday allowance and annual company performance bonus along with a host of well being incentives too. We are also able to offer hybrid working up to 3 days WFH per week along with onsite parking.

The Part Time Recruitment Specialist will be supporting the ongoing recruitment strategy across our core business and some of our other operating companies in the group. Working closely with hiring managers, sharing ideas and look to continually improve the way we do things to ensure successful delivery of the hiring needs.
Working across technology, engineering and manufacturing space, you will partner with hiring managers to understand and develop plans for their current and future hiring needs and role requirements, ensuring we attract and retain the right people. This may include some graduate, intern and apprenticeship recruitment.

  • Review job descriptions to ensure they are current and assist line managers to update.
  • Creation of appealing job adverts.
  • Advertising on company website, career/university pages, job boards and other media to maximise exposure of vacancies.
  • Liaising with recruiters to support hiring needs.
  • Ensure vacancies are circulated internally within the company.
  • Screening CV's/applications before presenting to hiring managers.
  • Conduct pre-screen interviews with potential candidates for some roles & assisting hiring managers at some interviews.
  • Arranging interviews for hiring managers and other interviewers.
  • Obtaining post-interview feedback and conveying this to candidates/recruitment agencies.
  • Maintain relationships with candidates and recruiters throughout the recruitment process.
  • Encourage Hiring Managers to keep momentum on recruitment to minimise loss of good candidates.
  • Recommend improvements to talent acquisition strategy.

To be successful you should have proven recruitment experience gained either from an internal recruitment/HR role or from a recruitment agency background. Experience of managing a range of recruitment and vacancies ideally within an engineering, manufacturing or technology industry sector. Demonstrable experience of using a range of recruitment methods, job boards and LinkedIn with experience of recruiting for a varied range of job roles, working with hiring managers directly.
