Principal EC&I Engineer required. My client is leading Engineering firm in the Industrial Gases market who is now looking to hire a Principal EC&I Engineer to bolster their team in Godalming's The ideal candidate will come from a hazardous / industrial gases background, will be familiar with designing control systems, engaging in HAZOP / LOPA studies, will ideally be competent in Siemens TIA and will be based locally to Godalming.
**Principal EC&I Engineer
Position Overview
- Designing a range of Safety and Control systems for hazardous environments
- Undertaking HAZOP / LOPA studies and risk assessments
- Leading FAT's and SAT's
- Overseeing surveys, audits and onsite installation
- Performing pre commissioning tests and overseeing final setup
- Utilising Siemens TIA for PLC / HMI & SCADA programming
- Potentially travelling worldwide for the role
**Principal EC&I Engineer
Position Requirements
- Previous experience in designing safety systems (IEC61511)
- Experience designing control systems for explosive atmospheres (BS EN / IEC60079)
- Able to engage in HAZOP / LOPA studies and risk assessments
- Able to lead Factory and Site Acceptance tests
- Able to supervise site surveys, audits and installation processes
- Experience conducting pre commissioning tests
- Competent use of Siemens TIA for PLC / HMI & SCADA, Ignition configuration and SQL & Networking knowledge are all beneficial
- Based within a commutable distance of Godalming
**Principal EC&I Engineer
Position Remuneration
- Salary £65,000 - £70,000 DOE
- Hybrid working upon completion of probation
- Annual Bonus
- Monday - Friday: 9:00 - 16:00
- Business mileage paid
- 33 Days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
