The experience of working on a one-to-one basis to ensure students are on task while collaborating with the class teacher will prepare any aspiring ocupational therapist for the collaboration required in their future career. You will also get to work with on-site professionals and other experienced staff to provide tailored education. Learning to identify and address possible triggers for the pupils in regard to their trauma and psychological needs will be fantastic for any aspiring occupational therapist to see what their future career will include. The role will also include facilitating different therapeutic techniques with the goal of promoting students' mental well-being. The ideal aspiring occupational therapist will be proactive, friendly and approachable, with a keen interest in pursuing a career in psychology. Any previous experience working with young children or adults with additional needs would be beneficial but not crucial.
