Senior Planner

Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be partnered with a leading Modular Building specialist in their search for a Senior Planner.

In this role, you will collaborate across various functions to create tender programs aimed at securing projects, working closely with procurement, operations, and supply chain teams to coordinate activities across our manufacturing sites. This position is essential for our growth, as you will support Contract and Project Managers in executing ongoing projects while aligning them with resource availability and cash flow. Additionally, you will oversee the master production schedules for all our factories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning and programming process by closely monitoring the development and implementation of programs and ensuring the completeness of supply chain packages
  • Develop a strong and credible program from the ground up, collaborating with subject matter experts to identify key opportunities, assumptions, and risks during the tender phase, and continuing through contract award and project delivery
  • As the team expands, you will be expected to mentor planners and trainee planners, addressing their development needs to cultivate successful team members
  • Present regularly to senior management and clients, ensuring that presentations capture the necessary details
  • Maintain master production schedules for 3 UK factories
  • Compile and distribute production schedules promptly, adhering to established deadlines
  • Coordinate with Project and Contract Managers for program updates
  • Liaise with Production and Project Managers regarding subcontractor key dates
  • Provide forecasted job completion dates for the Sales and Estimating teams
  • Assist in identifying and resolving production conflicts, as well as managing workloads
  • Help identify future labour and production resource requirements
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of improved production planning and control systems
  • Notify on-site subcontractors of production plans and timelines
  • Investigate production processes and assist in the enhancement of methods and facilities
  • Prepare job-specific plans to ensure project and product compliance
  • Ensure that all tasks consider compliance with relevant Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental Standards
  • Manage and update key account information
  • Compile, monitor, and update the business transport schedule
  • Lead weekly production planning meetings

Essential Qualifications/Skills:

  • Experience in delivering large, complex schemes
  • Previous work with Tier 1 clients
  • Experience in a PMO role managing a large project portfolio
  • Familiarity with conducting program risk workshops and using SAFRAN software
  • Background in civil engineering, project controls, or project management

Desirable Qualifications/Skills:

  • Experience with large construction or infrastructure projects
  • Proficient in Asta or P6, as well as client database systems
