Pertemps are seeking an Operational Training Lead who has excellent communication skills and who can demonstrate patience, with a good knowledge of food defence and the importance of health and safety.

You will be transferring your knowledge, experience, and skills to all current and new factory starters within operations. Excellent interpersonal skills and the enjoyment of working with teams on a regular basis is essential.

About You:

  • The candidate must have a proven background in operational training, food manufacturing would be preferred.
  • Excellent communication and delivery skills
  • Be confident and comfortable speaking to and training employees at all levels of competence.
  • Be able to conduct presentations and induction for new starters.
  • Be well organised.
  • Adaptability is essential, not just to the site but to how people work differently.

Some of the Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Creation and update of SOPs ensuring that SOPs are clear and easy to understand by utilising pictures to illustrate each step in the process supported with written work instructions.
  • To ensure all staff are trained in SOPs, ensuring records are up to date.
  • Work closely with shift leads / team leads regarding new processes / new documentation.
  • Working closely with any relevant managers and NPD on product trial or launching new products.
  • Supporting the training manager on inductions for new starters.
  • Supporting the shift lead on induction for new agency workers
  • Supporting all area managers on writing and executing briefings.
  • Conduct assessments with the training manager / shift lead / team lead as required.
  • Be flexible on working hours, if required.
  • Provide training by demonstration, explanation, teaching, coaching, and mentoring at workstation depending on area. On-the-job training to new starter if require so.
  • Capability to organize workload and commit to deadlines.
  • Delivering learning and must also have an acceptance of different ways to learning.
