Description
- Processing, coding, and inputting supplier invoices into the accounting system
- Managing supplier payment runs, including BACS and cheque payments
- Reconciling supplier statements to ensure accurate records
- Handling supplier queries and resolving discrepancies or payment issues
- Maintaining accurate purchase ledger records and updating supplier accounts
- Processing staff expense claims and matching purchase orders with invoices
- Ensuring timely payment of all invoices in line with agreed terms
- Liaising with internal departments and suppliers regarding invoice discrepancies
- Assisting with month-end closing and preparing relevant reports for management
- Other adhoc accounts duties.
Profile
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
- A strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in EXCEL
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- The ability to work as part of a team.
