Job Purpose:

  • To deliver accurate M&E ACAD drawings throughout the contract region.
  • Represent EMCOR as the key point of contact for all relevant stakeholders associated with Drawing Office & Document requests.
  • Under limited supervision, operate computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) systems to produce complex drawings in support of Engineering projects in critical/validated environments.
  • **Custodian of Customer UK Technical Libraries. To implement a fully integrated life-cycle management process for the management of Equipment files and associated data, which is consistently deployed through the account.

**Duties:

Interface with all levels of EMCOR and customers staff to produce complete engineering drawing layout packages and control the quality and integrity of validated and critical space drawings.

  • Provide regular reports on progress and escalate issues as required to the Workplace Manager
  • Carry out on site surveys of plant, equipment and buildings to prepare high quality drawings upon request
  • Update existing records & create new drawings from engineers' sketches and specifications to accurately represent modifications
  • Utilise latest AutoCAD 3D tools.
  • Maintain documentation library of paper and electronic documents to include but not limited to: O & M manuals, Change control documents, Project turnover records, Validation / Qualification records etc. Facilities, Plant and Equipment Maintenance and their histories, in order to meet compliance requirements.
  • Ensure continued compliance with EMCOR and customers, corporate, regulatory, and statutory authority requirements.
  • Develop controls designed to require that subcontractor's performance meets required quality standard.
  • Promptly document all work to confirm authenticity, accuracy, compliance and traceability. Follow Good Documentation Practices in all work.
  • Review status of manuals - liaise with key engineering teams to define current accuracy of manuals and prepare a report as necessary.

CLIENT MANAGEMENT

  • Manage day-to-day client interaction. Set and manage client expectations.
  • Develop lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client ties. other CMMS (EAM) team members who manage/maintain GxP.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions. Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
  • Co-ordinate, update and maintain information in the technical library and liaise with other CMMS (EAM)team members who manage/maintain GxP.
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors. Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion. Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
  • Provide project support for both minor works and capital projects
  • Review new manuals and communicate issues immediately to the Project Manager to define joint Customer / Supplier actions, to ensure projects are delivered in compliance.
  • Assist EMCOR compliance team in audits or performance reviews when requested to do so.
  • Attend regular meetings with relevant stakeholders/departments
  • Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions

Lead internal teams/task forces.

  • Comply with and help to enforce standard policies and procedures

ESSENTIALS

  • Work safely, highlighting any HSE issues and reporting SOR's (Safety Observation Report)
  • To carry out all reasonable tasks that may be requested from time to time by the Client, Management or EMCOR Group (UK).

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience

Essential

  • Accredited user of AutoCAD (version 2013) onwards with a good understanding of 3D tools, preferably the Autodesk Building design Suite
  • Diploma or Degree in a related subject or a minimum of 5 years' experience in Engineering/Manufacturing companies, technical environments and/or Life Science regulated industries
  • Knowledge if working in regulatory and compliance areas
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in Drawing Office software applications.
  • A knowledge and understanding of building services and project management procedures, which can impact on the effectiveness of the service delivery.
  • Computer literate working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project,
  • Significant and demonstrable ability to initiate processes and procedures
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A good trouble shooter and problem solver.
