Rapier Employment is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for dedicated Class 1 drivers to join our team at the prestigious DP World site located at the BMW plant in Swindon. Key Details
- Experience Required: Minimum of 6 months as a Class 1 driver.
- Salary: Annual earnings circa £36,000, compensated on an hourly basis.
- Work Hours: Flexible start times across AM and PM shifts.
- Working Days: Initially Monday to Thursday with potential for additional shifts from Friday to Sunday as needed.
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough vehicle and trailer checks, manage internal records, and report any discrepancies or defects.
- Load trailers with car parts destined for Oxford; training on Material Handling Equipment (MHE) will be provided.
- Typically manage up to 3 runs daily between Swindon and Cowley sites, subject to operational needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation, both paper-based and electronic.
- Exhibit strong teamwork skills and effective communication abilities.
- Strict adherence to Health and Safety guidelines.
Requirements:
- Valid CPC Card.
- Digi Card.
- Full UK Licence (Cat C+E).
- Demonstrable experience and reliability.
