Bristol: Banking (Associate) Solicitor: 1-4PQE £63-69,000 DOE.

We are newly recruiting for an Associate to join our client's Banking team in Bristol. This role would best suit a qualified lawyer between 1-4 years' PQE, looking for a flexible working role with great quality work, team collaboration, and opportunities for progression.

Our client's Banking team provides expert and commercial advice in all areas of general corporate lending (including acquisition finance), real estate finance, and renewables finance.

Your Role:

As a key addition to our client's Bristol team, as an Associate, you can expect to be involved with:

  • Managing your own caseload for a variety of clients and supporting Partners with larger transactions
  • Providing an excellent service to their clients through close collaboration with colleagues from across the UK in both the Banking team and other specialisms
  • Participating in business development opportunities to strengthen relationships with their clients.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • A Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) with 1+ year PQE, with a background in real estate finance or corporate banking
  • A forward thinker with excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills, you will be self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines
  • Commercially aware with enthusiasm for business development, and an appetite for keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in your practise area and sector focus
  • Able to understand your client's business needs and act in the best interest of the firm and the client
  • An ambitious and enthusiastic team player, able to support senior fee earners and contribute to our client's collaborative culture.

Your Team:

Operating from offices across the UK, our client's expanding and ambitious partner-led team provides tactical, commercially minded services across all aspects of financing. They act for a broad range of debt funders and have positions on the general lending panels of nearly all the high street lenders. In addition, they act for a wide spectrum of corporate borrowers in all their key sectors in the investment and non-investment grade spaces.

They provide clear commercial advice on all areas of restructuring and insolvency law. With broad and deep expertise in restructuring and insolvency, and specialisation in the acquisition and disposal of debt portfolios, they act for everyone from corporates and their boards to banks and government agencies. From large restructuring, workouts, and formal insolvencies to acting for individual creditors and assisting stakeholders, they're ready when clients need them.
