Audit and Accounts Semi-Senior

We are seeking an Audit and Accounts Semi-Senior to join our Accounts and Audit department. This role is ideal for a part-qualified ACA or ACCA professional with at least 24 months of experience in Accounts and Audit within a practice environment. The successful candidate will be involved in the preparation of statutory accounts, audits, and basic tax computations, as well as overseeing and training junior team members.
Day to Day of the role:
- Preparation of statutory accounts under UK GAAP (FRS 102 and 105), with IFRS experience being beneficial.
- Involvement in each phase of audit engagements from planning through to conclusion under the guidance of seniors and managers.
- Overseeing, training, and guiding junior members of the team.
- Preparation of draft corporation tax computations for assignments.
- Preparation of management accounts and cash flow forecasts for certain clients.
- Assisting our Business Support Unit as required.
- Maintaining strong communication with clients and team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Part-Qualified ACA or ACCA.
- Minimum of 24 months experience in Accounts and Audit within a practice environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with CCH accounts production is preferable.
- Exposure to Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks is advantageous.
- Strong technical knowledge and up-to-date with accounting and auditing standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with ambitions of progression.
