Day to day of the role:

  • Prepare and organize equipment and materials for science lessons, ensuring that all resources are ready for use.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness and uphold the highest safety standards to provide a secure learning environment.
  • Manage laboratory stock efficiently, keeping track of resources and ensuring their availability.
  • Provide support to teaching staff and students during practical science lessons, facilitating a smooth and effective learning experience.
  • Handle the proper disposal of waste materials in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Perform routine safety checks and maintain essential safety equipment to prevent accidents.
  • Work collaboratively with the science department to enhance laboratory practices and contribute to the educational mission.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A robust background in science or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in scientific principles.
  • Previous experience in a laboratory setting is highly desirable, showcasing practical skills and familiarity with laboratory operations.
