Job Title: CNC Setter and Operator
Location: Gloucester, GL2
Pay Rate: Starting salary £30k + DOE
Contract: Permanent
gap personnel Gloucester are currently recruiting for CNC Setter/Operator, with good knowledge and experience working on machinery up to and including 5axis and using HAAS or FANUC.
Successful candidate must demonstrate good knowledge of setting and operating required machinery and be able to move a tool or a part in five different axes simultaneously.
Main Duties as CNC Setter and Operator
- Undertaking entire CNC machine setups, from an empty machine to an approved 1st off component
- Being able to read and understand G and M codes
- Ability to read engineering drawings to perform required task
- Produce accurate, high quality components with maximum efficiency
- Cutting tool setup, work holding selection and setting of datums using Renishaw probing, dial indicators and edge finders, as applicable
- Work to tight tolerances and check your own work meets the required standard
Working Hours:
- Monday-Thursday 15:30pm - 02:00am ( Thursday early finish at midnight )
Salary
- Starting salary is £30k +, it is dependable on experience as may be higher
The above role is on permanent basis, 2 stages interview may be required for the position.
