Outbound Debt Collector

Salary - £26,000-£27,000p/a
Are you a skilled communicator with a passion for resolving issues and helping people? We're looking for a driven Outbound Debt Collector to join our clients successful team. In this role, you will be responsible for contacting individuals with outstanding fees, negotiating payment plans, and ensuring timely debt recovery on behalf of our client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reach Out to Debtors: Make outbound calls and use various communication channels (phone, email, SMS) to engage with individuals regarding their unpaid debts.
- Negotiate Payment Solutions: Discuss outstanding debts with debtors, offering solutions such as payment plans or settlements, all while maintaining a professional and empathetic approach.
- Record and Report: Accurately document all interactions, payment agreements, and debtor information in our CRM system.
- Compliance and Legal: Ensure all debt collection activities are in line with industry regulations, including data protection and consumer rights laws.
- Customer Service: Provide clear, concise information to debtors about their accounts, and professionally handle disputes or complaints, escalating complex cases to management as needed.
- Meet Performance Targets: Work towards meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly collection targets, while continually striving to improve collection rates.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in debt collection or customer service is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle difficult conversations with tact and professionalism.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based, with occasional evening or weekend shifts to accommodate debtor availability.
