Legionella Risk Assessor/Trainer

Posted by Reed.

I'm currently working with a leading provider of clean water testing based in Scotland. They're looking to recruit someone to come in a provide critical water testing, and training on water testing/cleanliness.

The role is critical as is providing support, testing and training to facilities where clean water is essential – places such as oil rigs, and other offshore establishments.

The role will entail legionella assessments and risk assessments & audits on legionella and other water borne contaminants. This is on the actual offshore environments themselves and via support from their office.

The expectation is around 60-90 days per year in an offshore environment and can involve travel to some exotic locations! The main aspect of the role is to provide either testing for legionella, or auditing that the regular testing for Legionella is taking place. It will also involve giving training to people and teams on the importance of testing and how to do it.

The role will involve travel, most periods of travel will be 3-5 days at a time but could be slightly longer for buisness critical times. All other work will be office based and follow a normal Monday-Friday, 9-5 routine.

The role would suit someone from a legionella test background but could also suit a scientist with an environmental, test-lab or water-testing background.

The role is paying £27,000 - £30,000/annum and comes with a shift allowance anything up £9000/annum for the time spent offshore.
