Description
Key Responsibilities include;
- Processes, Procedures and Standards Adhere to the Infrastructure Management procedures, processes and standards and ensure there is consistency and delivery of programmes.
- Risk and Issues Log Identify and report all risks and issues (provide severity and likelihood) related to your tower that are causing incidents and/ or are having (or could have) an adverse effect on service performance.
- Recommendation Development Based on all known information prioritise the development of recommendations & mitigation activities - to include all risks and costs of each initiative.
- Infrastructure Improvement Plans Deliver Infrastructure Improvement Plans related to infrastructure towers that are focused on improving the quality of service provided by Technology.
- Subject Matter Expert become recognised as a subject matter expert for your respective infrastructure
- Professional Development Manage your professional development and identify opportunities (training courses, seminars, conferences etc) that will enable you to become a subject matter expert for your respective infrastructure tower.
- Tower Integration actively contribute to Infrastructure Management team meetings to promote the visibility of activities across the function
- Infrastructure Roadmaps Contribute, develop and publish a holistic infrastructure roadmap detailing prioritised initiatives to help modernise the technology landscape.
- Reporting Actively contribute to monthly reporting governance packs that are presented to technology executives.
Profile
The successful candidate will have;
- High level experience with UNIX and LINUX.
- Experience with Solaris
- Strong working knowledge of VMware
- Experience with Clustering technologies (Power HA, VCS)
- High level experience with Database technologies (Oracle DB, DB2 LUW)
- Experience with API/Middleware technologies
- Experience with Enterprise monitoring tooks (NMON, Nagios, Solarwinds, Topas, ServiceNow)
- A strong design to move into a hands-off role and move away from hands-on technical roles.
Job Offer

This role offers;
- Salary of £70,000
- £4,000 car allowance OR £3,500 as cash via payroll each month (£291.67)
