Key Responsibilities:

Client Management:

Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of accounting services.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a primary point of contact for client queries and issues.

Accounts Preparation:

Prepare statutory accounts for a variety of business structures including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

Handle bookkeeping tasks and maintain accurate financial records for clients.

Taxation:

Prepare and submit VAT returns, corporation tax returns, and personal tax returns.

Assist in tax planning and advisory services for clients.

Auditing:

Assist in planning and conducting audits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Prepare audit reports and provide recommendations for improvements.

Financial Reporting:

Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts for clients.

Analyze financial statements and reports to provide insights and recommendations.

Software Utilization:

Utilize various accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) for bookkeeping and accounts preparation.

Stay updated with the latest accounting software advancements and implement them effectively.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices within the firm.

Stay current with changes in accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accountancy practice environment.
- Part-qualified or qualified ACCA/ACA (or equivalent).
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (experience with Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero is highly desirable).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
