1:1 Teaching Assistant
Long Term Teachers is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to suppport SEN students on a 1:1 basis. This is a dynamic and interesting role working with a lovely team of supportive Teachers and TAs. We are looking for someone who has previous ecxperience working with young SEN adults or children. A good understadning of SEN and behaviour management is key. The school uses a trauma informed approach to support children with different needs.
Duties will include:
- Behaviour management
- 1:1 support with reading and writing
- Supporting the teacher with classroom activities / lessons
- lunchtime supervision
Being a 1:1 TA requires a real passion for education, patience and the ability to adapt. If you have a background in care or support work we would also love to hear from you!
This is a term time position, working Monday - Friday 8.30 - 3.15
