Maternity Cover Teacher (September 2024 - July 2025)

Paid to scale in line with Teacher Main Pay Scale

A wonderful school based in the heart of Littleport, Ely is currently looking for a dedicated primary teacher to support them with Maternity Cover. This cover is set to start in September and will continue for the full academic year and will also be a full teaching role. This will mean that all Teacher responsibilities and expectations will be held throughout its duration. The school itself is a VERY well respected school. Consisting of just over 350 friendly pupils, they have been most recently graded as "Good" by Ofsted. To continue their efforts, they strive to ensure all children receive the best education possible and work incredibly well as a team of educators to do so.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver creative and effective lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess pupils' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes the well-being principles of the school.
  • Collaborate with colleagues during weekly PPA time to ensure cohesive planning and delivery of the curriculum.
  • Engage with parents and carers to maintain open and supportive communication regarding pupils' progress and well-being.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in KS1
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering the well-being of all pupils
