Role Overview:

As a

Clinical Negligence Solicitor

, you will be responsible for handling a varied caseload of clinical negligence claims, from initial investigation through to settlement or trial. You will work closely with clients to provide expert legal advice, ensuring that their interests are fully represented and delivering the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied caseload of clinical negligence claims, including cases involving catastrophic injury, surgical errors, delayed diagnosis, and birth injuries.
  • Conduct thorough legal research, investigation, and case preparation, including drafting legal documents and correspondence.
  • Liaise with medical experts, counsel, and other parties to ensure the smooth progression of cases.
  • Provide clients with compassionate, high-quality legal advice, keeping them informed throughout the process.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediation, and court proceedings where necessary.
  • Contribute to the team's business development activities, including networking, attending events, and assisting with marketing initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with 1+ years of post-qualification experience in clinical negligence or personal injury law.
  • Strong track record of managing clinical negligence cases from start to finish.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide clear, empathetic advice to clients.
  • Experience liaising with medical experts and a solid understanding of medical issues related to clinical negligence claims.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
