A well run Secondary Academy in Hemel Hempstead are looking to appoint a Behaviour Mentor to join their inclusion team. Working alongside students who need additional support and display challenging behaviour you will be a key mentor in helping them develop and strengthen the skills and strategies needed to succeed in school and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualised behaviour plans for students
- Deliver instruction and coaching to students in social skills, self-regulation, and problem-solving
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to support students' academic and social-emotional needs
- Monitor student progress and adjust intervention plans accordingly
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in a related field, such as education, psychology, or social work
- Experience working with students who display challenging behaviours in a school setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- A positive and proactive approach to behaviour management
